Follow Me To Paris For The Dior SS20 Show…

has always been one of my favorite luxury fashion houses & one of my highlights of 2019 was attending their SS20 show. Witnessing Maria Grazia Chiuri’s magic first hand on the runway & the thrill of next seasons hottest trends inches away was just plain beautiful. I am still coming to terms with the botanic wonderland that came to life…

For the show, I wore a gorgeous burgundy J’adior sweater which I paired with my iconic Lady Dior bag & topped it off with my J’adior bracelets and Dior Tribales earrings. I have always been excited beyond measure about representing my country in Dior’s global campaigns so I was naturally all smiles frolicking around Paris in my Dior look making the most of my ‘Streetstyle in Dior’ moment.

This show was Chiuri’s homage to nature and diversity, every detail was so well thought of. There were more than 100 trees in the set that were going to be planted across various community gardens in Paris post the show. Each tree also came with a barcode which the audience could scan to find out where the particular tree would be planted. Basically, this show exemplified the way forward for sustainable fashion and made it seem just so desirable…

The collection resonated so much with my love for feminine yet modern and experimental style. The models walked down in structured jackets over pleated skirts or floral pullovers over baggy cropped pants. There were dresses made out of delicate translucent fabrics, lots of tulle, overall a very sombre palette of earthy beiges and browns. The message behind this entire presentation was to embed a buy-now-wear-forever philosophy and I am so onboard with it. I walked out of the show feeling positive about the future of fashion and how grateful I am to be a part of this legacy.

What I’m Wearing: J’adior 8 sweater, Lady Dior bag, with the multi colored Dior strap, Dior Tribales earrings, J’adior bracelets and J’adior pumps.
