How I Decided My Blog Aesthetic X 1989Co.

Not sure how many of you here have been with me since the very beginning, but as you might know, there have been a COUPLE of name changes when it came to my blog, and generally, me as a fashion entity.

So I started back in 2009 with just Style Fiesta and a coupe of years down the line when I launched my brand, I kinda, committed to keeping the name the same for my blog and my brand. Obviously, wrong move. Too many confused readers + customers later, I decided to let my brand keep my hard-earned followers on Style Fiesta and set out to find a recognisably similar, but separate handle for myself.

Summer Embroidered On My Skirt

Last week I walked into the Max Fashion store (I’m sure the name needs no introduction) with my latte in tow to browse through their latest offerings and see if anything caught my eye. I have to say I totally loved the hip vibe exuded by their sartorial collection! I zeroed in on this particular outfit because it struck a chord with me – it was just what I was looking for! Something breezy, fun, effortless and airy enough to combat the summer heat.

Stalking Buying Loving

Quick outfit post I shot while driving through Waitomo, on our way to Auckland. What’s it about these dreamy colored walls you find when you’re travelling that make you want to pull over and wonder about what went through the artists mind when they chose this milky aquamarine hue for a stretched building across the road from Subway?

Wearing a printed floral playsuit from one of my favorite Indian e-shopping brands, Stalk Buy Love. They always pamper me with the latest trends and I swoon over how their size S fits me just right. For a finishing touch, my all time favorite CAI just launched their pom-pom sandals that scream summer, making for an easy call.

Road Trip Exploring North Island, New Zealand

To be completely honest, New Zealand was not our first choice of destination while planning our honeymoon. We were meant to go to South America (which we both have been desperately wanting to) but because of some health and security hazards, we decided not to.

I had heard a countless times just how beautiful New Zealand was but I wasn’t convinced before we really set foot into this awfully photogenic island nation. As I write this post on my flight back home, I realise, in the 3 days that we drove through North Island, New Zealand I saw collectively the most extra-ordinary moments of my life. Beautiful, is a mere understatement.

How I Planned My Bacholerette Hamper & Other Things’

Still keeping the wedding posts coming..here’s hoping you’re still enjoying them 🙂
I recently did an Insta Live session where I answered questions related to my wedding and there was one repeated query that kept coming in. ‘How long I took to plan my wedding.’ I honestly didn’t take very long because I had well in advance decided to back off from the nitty-grittys. Here was my deal with my family. I would tell them my ideas, curate a wishlist of sorts, and they would try to deliver what was possible. Thanks to the inconvenient, exaggerated ideas that keep propping into my mind, loads from the list was instantly discharged, but some beautiful (read: realistic) ones were executed to perfection.
