Women @ Dior – #WomenInBusiness

Back when I started my blog in 2010, everything was completely different. My family members took my pictures, brand collaborations were NOTHING like they are today, people gave me funny looks when I told them what I did, Instagram had barely launched… the list goes on and on. One major difference was that there was no one who had previously done what I was doing. Yes, this was great because I got to be a pioneer, especially in the blogging industry back in India. But the downside was that there was no one to look up to as inspiration either. Having strong role models can make such a huge difference in accelerating your career, especially for #WomenInBusiness, so when I heard about a recent initiative by one of my favorite brands, Dior, I was obviously thrilled at the possibility of impact this could create for so many women just like me.

A Day With Dior

Sometimes, a brand is synonymous with a certain aesthetic. Other times, a brand inspires your aesthetic. Since I was a little girl, I’ve always looked at Dior in awe and aspired to be associated with them some time in life. Feels like I blinked and the next second here I am, hitting publish on this blog post, being thankful for every opportunity thats come my way so far. Especially the ones I had dreamed of since I was a little girl.

PINK & BLACK

What I’m Wearing – River Island jacket, H&M tank, Forever21 leather panel tights, Dior clutch, Zara shoes, Hermes bracelet & Style Fiesta cat eye sunglasses, black cuff rings and gold choker
Ever since the tights life chose me..I’m not sure how I feel about jeans anymore. My legs look slimmer, you get them in all prints/colors/shapes and bonus, they’re way way too comfortable. These Forever 21 leather panel tights have been a blessing for my wardrobe – basic enough to wear with everything and yet the leather panel adds a stylish element. I chose to wear them with a long-ish tank because hey, nobody’s a fan of a ‘tights butt’.
This gold choker is confidently referred to as the ‘Masoom necklace’ in my office. (Thanks to the excess-use I put it under) But cant deny, it really does fit perfectly with every outfit!
