I don’t know about you but I love my white denims. And my white tops too. It’s two things you’ll find in multiples in my wardrobe & yet in the season of dropping temperatures, I just couldn’t figure out how to put them to good use.
Hey guys! As promised, I’ve put together a little travel guide of Zurich with all my favorite things to do and places to eat at. We’d initially planned this trip wanting to bring in the New Year in a snowy place, but much to our luck, it didn’t snow at all. I can’t be complaining about the weather one bit though, because we got the gorgeous winter sun and a whooping 10degree average everyday which is just pure bliss for this time of the year. It was our first ‘couple trip’ with our friends and we were definitely anxious about how that was going to go but voilaaa, success!! We had an amaaaazing time with them, fell in love with the city/cute town(?!), and had a 100% hit ratio with all our meals. Now, lets dive into the details!
As I anticipated and prepared for my move to Belgium, it dawned upon me that life was not only getting me to Shailin, but also to yet another fashion opportunity! For the first time in my life, I was going to build a season specific wardrobe. I needed full blown Eskimo wear (yes, my indian skin froze to unconsciousness even at 12* in the beginning) and I found myself buying almost everything ‘wintery’ that caught my eye. If it fit my personal style, and ‘looked’ like it would keep my warm, it was an instant add to cart moment. Mistake numero uno.
Sometimes, a brand is synonymous with a certain aesthetic. Other times, a brand inspires your aesthetic. Since I was a little girl, I’ve always looked at Dior in awe and aspired to be associated with them some time in life. Feels like I blinked and the next second here I am, hitting publish on this blog post, being thankful for every opportunity thats come my way so far. Especially the ones I had dreamed of since I was a little girl.
Contrary to popular beliefs, I do wear my clothes even after I’ve Instagrammed them. But what I truly love the most, is wearing them in a different way. This is the time I put in all my styling strength to show you guys that fashion truly is an investment, you just need to keep reinventing it.
With this look however, I found no need to exert my creativity. I had stumbled upon one of those ‘jackpot’ outfits. The most gorgeous skirt that doubled up as a dress. And it had every trend I was lusting over right now – stripes and frills!
