The Ultimate Guide To Styling Your White Jeans In The Winter: Part 1

I don’t know about you but I love my white denims. And my white tops too. It’s two things you’ll find in multiples in my wardrobe & yet in the season of dropping temperatures, I just couldn’t figure out how to put them to good use.

I ended up wearing these white denims on an impulse. It had been at the back of my mind for a while to pull together s winter outfit with them, and when I finally did, I felt like a part of a club I’d always admired and couldn’t wait to be a part of! You see, whenever I’d see someone wearing white bottoms in the winter, I’d always do a double check.  It’s just been something that has fascinated me since…well pretty much forever. It seemed like a fashion risk for some reason, a tiny bit uncomfortable and out of place. But that’s why I wanted to stop and correct myself – because hey, who makes the rules anyways?!

A block element look seemed like an apt choice and I decided to try blending a myriad of winter hues with my winter whites. So, with the denims, came on a white jumper with a patch of light grey, complimented with an oversized olive coat and blended together with black err’thing accessories – a sling, boots and my favorite sunnies. The Karl velveteen shrug was more of an afterthought to stop myself from freezing in case I happened to take my coat off and on hindsight I think that that is what made the look really come together.
Easiest start to putting together an outfit with white denims? White on white. Seems like a bit too much? Hear me out. White on white goes together seamlessly. Add on a neutral coloured coat and accessories to that and there you go! The reason why styling white is so easy is because it’s a colour that’s extremely easy to complement and match with others. Whether you’d want to add a pop of colour to your whites or darker hues (just like the moss green and black I wore mine with), white jeans pair well with almost anything. If white on white seems daunting at first, try pairing your white denims with a top in a color that’s the same as your next layer (in this case either my scarf or my jacket). That shall give you the confidence to pull it off.

I’m hoping that my pulling out the white denims inspires you guys to give them a try too. I’m going to show you one more way to style white denims for the winter – so stay tuned – coming up in a few days.
