Shooting for Longchamp’s Fall/Winter ’17 collection in Palais Royal’s courtyard will definitely go down as one of the most dreamiest moments of my career. Naturally, have to share this awesome journey with you all.
First stop of the day was at the Longchamp showroom for my fittings and a showcase of their current collections. Meeting the charming team was definitely an experience, as they welcomed me by taking me through every single detail of the French design house to understand their philosophies and ideals. Fittings were naturally difficult since I couldn’t settle on picking just one look from their array of stunning printed dresses, leather slacks and oversized fur jackets. Everything I tried on fit perfectly into my mood and I almost regretted shooting for just one look. (The light pouring in from the Parisian balconies didn’t help either)
I finally settled with a look that I would say, was rather unconventional for me, but so French fashion girl, I couldn’t deny it.
I got dressed head-to-toe in Longchamp and headed to my next destination. A tour of the iconic flagship boutique on Rue Saint Honoré. Big beautiful doors led me into their universe of plush accessories and signature pieces. My favorite bit was a wall full of their iconic Le Pliage in every hue that ever existed.
An hour later, I was thoroughly familiar with their collection in their store and I was ready to give it my very own personal touch. Through my eyes!
I chose the Palais Royal Courtyard as the perfect backdrop to my campaign, mirroring everything the french fashion house stands for. Artisanal heritage infused with modern elements. I literally, had a blast shooting this campaign with a little team I had conjured up in Paris. The weather Gods were uncannily on my side, the sun was shining just the perfect amount and the usually overcrowded courtyard had only a few lingering tourists. I pinched myself while doing my usual twirls and walking shots, I couldn’t believe I was shooting in Paris!!!!! For a campaign so precious!!!
Thank you Universe! Bring me more!
