Beating That Hair Fall

In an image conscious world of fashion & beauty blogging with reviews or features about that latest lipstick thats causing an impactful stir or a perfume that makes you smell divine but could cost you a car, it’s easy to get caught up in a somewhat superficial world. For me(and I’m sure of you as well), sometimes blogging feels like I’m the girl who accidentally wandered backstage at a Victoria’s Secret fashion show of leggy, clear skinned beauty’s with manes of lustrous hair who don’t require the power of an Instagram filter. Lets get straight – I need that filter. Which is why sometimes it can be quite daunting to point out your flaws on such a public forum and discuss your hang ups or “body issue” struggles so personally.

Talking about one such issue I’m currently facing and simultaneously, a ritual that I am currently trying out to ensure it doesn’t remain a ‘problem’ for too long.

I colored my hair recently (ofcourse you know that, from this vlog) and not-so-surprisingly, am facing way too much HAIR FALL!

I hopped over to try out Himalaya’s newly introduced Anti-Hair fall range, and I’m gonna describe the steps I underwent + photos of how my hair looked after with you! I’m going to keep this going through the month since it promises to prevent hair fall and nourish and stimulae hair growth.

The routine started with oiling that involved a gentle scalp massage with Anti-Hair Fall Hair Oil, enriched with natural ingredients like Bhringaraja and Amalaki, strengthening the hair root. Next up, was shampooing with Anti-Hair Fall Shampoo which is packed with herbs like Butea Frondosa and Bhringaraja which provides a 2-in- 1 formula that reduces hair fall, provides nourishment to hair shafts and conditions the hair texture.

Step 3 was conditioning with the Anti-Hair Fall Conditioner comprises of Butea Frondosa, Bhringaraja and Chickpea that nourishes the hair leaving you with soft and silky tresses. Chickpea contains a high amount of folate that plays an important role in hair growth by renewing the cells that aid in hair growth.

Last step – and as I was told – the most crucial, was the application of the Anti-Hair Fall Cream, which  is a daily-use formula containing Bhringaraja and Amalaki that reduces hair fall, strengthens hair follicles and nourishes hair from the roots.

I’ve repeatedly spoken about my love for natural ingredients in products on the blog so you know I was sold when I heard ‘Bhringaraja’ more than twice!

If any of you have any natural remedies for the issue I’m currently facing – please let me know in the comments below!

Applying onion jiuce on scalp twice a week is really effective for hairfall

If you are a fan of natural ingredients then you should consider applying ‘onion juice’ all over your scalp. Does wonders. Apply it thrice a week then wash it off. But you have to be regular with it. Since I have coloured my hair too and faced the same problem. It decreases roughness and leaves your hair with a nice texture.

A bit of gravity isn’t bad! It looks great. Maybe add a little time to your morning blowdry? That normally helps with volume throughout the day and should reduce the fall

    Hi !
You could use warm coconut oil with some castor oil and tea tree essential oil on your scalp, 2-3 times a week and keep it for 45-60 minutes and wash it off.

You could also boil some curry leaves in coconut oil, keep aside to cool down a little and apply it while it’s still warm. You can do this 2-3 times in a month.

These are tried and tested, and very effective.

A hairpack of fenugreek seeds (soaked overnight) with egg white whisked into the mixture helps in controlling hairfall. It’s always best to oil your hair before applying this mask. Leave it on for about 15 mins.
If possible substitute your shampoo with a pastry of Shikakai powder and gooseberry powder. Cools down your scalp and tightens your pores.

    Hi Masoom!

Fresh ginger and olive oil or jojoba oil wil help decrease the hair fall! mix the olive oil and gingerjuice and massage it in your hair for 30 minutes. Then wash it out with a little bit of shampoo. If you do this everytime before washing your hair, you Will see a significant difference!!

    Goodluck
