Last week I walked into the Max Fashion store (I’m sure the name needs no introduction) with my latte in tow to browse through their latest offerings and see if anything caught my eye. I have to say I totally loved the hip vibe exuded by their sartorial collection! I zeroed in on this particular outfit because it struck a chord with me – it was just what I was looking for! Something breezy, fun, effortless and airy enough to combat the summer heat.
Military green and embroidery is pretty much all you need to invest in to be on top of the style ladder this season. Embroidered jeans, army jackets, flowing army green silhouettes – the sky is the limit. Though these two elements have largely been seen separately on the runways, I just had to find my own perfect formula, something that announced my personality the best. So what did I do? I pulled together the classic combination of a mini skirt and a peasant top – with floral patched embroidery on the skirt and string detailing on the top.
Since Mumbai temperatures are not in a mood to plummet anytime soon, I just had to go for this super cute skirt, although you could always opt for the skinny jeans (also spotted at the Max Fashion store). A pair of smart sneakers, a choker neckpiece, and I was good to slay that daytime look!
What I’m Wearing: MAX Fashion’s skirt & peasant top, Goyard bag, Zara shoes, Stylefiesta.com chokers, Marc Jacobs sunglasses
